GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Starting Indoors - March-May Sow seeds thinly 1cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over-water. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 15cm apart. When the plants are 10-15cm high transplant outside after all chance of frost has passed leaving 45cm between plants. Sowing Outdoors - April-June Row width: 45cm Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed in rows 15cm apart. Keep the soil moist, and be careful not to over-water. When large enough to handle thin to 45cm apart. Pick the leaves when they are young and tender, by removing a few at a time starting at the crown of the plant. Pick off the yellow leaves and ensure the area is kept weed free.
