“Firstly, rarely have I received anything as well packed and presented, hats off to the person responsible. The set itself comes in a black and gold presentation box, within which is the mahogany box with the chess pieces individually wrapped inside. I am particularly OCD about my chess pieces so scrutinised each individual piece - particularly the knights. Hand on heart I cannot note any inconsistences with any piece, the carving is wonderful and the weighting spot on. I have them setup on a blue lacquered board with 2" squares and they look superb. In conclusion, there are hundreds of fine staunton chess pieces on the market, but, they are not Jaques, and it's as simple as that.”
