“The removal tool worked perfectly in conjunction with a rattle gun to get the stuck and rounded OEM drain plug out of my LC200 diff.
Installing the replacement 24mm hex drain plug means the problem should now be gone for good.

“I had both fill and drain plugs jammed on 2007 Tundra front diff with 185,000 miles. No amount of hammering and tapping would loosen them, and applying full force to my breaker bar was tearing them up. I could see from the chisel marks on the drain plug that it had been stuck before.
The removal tool fit snugly into the hex drive, and a series of increasingly more forceful whacks on the ratchet with a hammer broke it free. The new 24 mm plug allows more mechanical leverage to be applied to the plug. And I made sure I tightened them to the correct torque. I'm convinced I will not have this problem again.”
