“This is the second sender unit I've fitted in the same number of years. In its defence this unit is fitted into the top of the radiator instead of the bottom of the radiator. So any loss of coolant and the hot water does not flow over the unit, hence it will not send a signal to the fan to start operating. Fitted the new sensor and touch wood, no issues with the new sensor.”
