“The Zoo 5 lever sashlock was all I hoped with good greasing in advance of fitting, excellent addition of plastic spacers that benefitted the rebate option (rarely provided) and a well-machined fit for the rebate kit to the original. A robust black coating was offered to the screws for the black forends I opted for. Eurospec's hinges' screws in black are not! Not that Morehandles sell them.
One slight niggle is that the apertures in the lock, for the through-bolting of the levers, were not compartmentalised. So any drilling debris dropped into the workings of the sash lock's bolt below.
For me, the debris fouled the mechanism and the bolt was unable to retract, whilst the door was in place! I couldn't get the door unlocked basically. You could say I learned a lesson that I ought to remove any Zoo sashlock, in the future, before drilling the bolt-through holes. Still, I have seen tubular latches with this compartmentalising. So perhaps Zoo might consider it as an update to their pattern in sashlocks.
