“Ordered 13 eggs, received 15, and 5 hatched. All eggs were undamaged. I used a Brinsea Maxi EX at standard settings. I elected not to candle until lockdown to reduce fluctuations or a chance of accidentally cracking them. Only one other egg was partially developed. The rest were still clear at day 18. The hatch rate seems a little low even for shipped eggs, but this is my first hatch and I knew fertility would be lower late in the season. Interestingly, the smallest peewee sized egg hatched into a clean legged and 4 toed chick. I’m not sure if it was just a genetic anomaly or if one of the extra eggs was another bantam breed. It will be interesting to see what it grows up to look like.”
“Do not waste your money with this company on eggs!! Especially the silkies. I ordered 6 eggs and only 2 made the hatch. I reached out to MyPetChicken through the entire incubation process. I let them know on day 7, 14, and 17 that only 2 eggs were growing and the rest were blanks. Not even fertile eggs. Never ever showed growth just yolk. I even proved them pictures on each day to show there was no change in the eggs. More than half my order being yolkers. The hatch rate guarantee policy they have in place saying they will replace your eggs is a lie. I paid $19.99 per egg and only 2 making the hatch they told me that was a 50% hatch rate. Do.not.waste.your.money!! This company will never have me as a customer ever again, Also my first review was not posted and that was over 3 months ago. So they clearly don’t even want customers knowing how it really goes. I did however receive a email asking if I wanted to change my review and I said nope. Still was posted. Wonder if this one will get posted.”

“Recd 6 eggs, only 1 egg hatched. 4 eggs were not fertile n 1 egg stopped developing. This is my third n last of hatching eggs. I rather get live chicks.”
“I do not recommend buying hatching eggs from my pet chicken. I ordered 6 silkie eggs and spent a total of $160 on said eggs and was sent 2 fertile eggs while 4 of the remaining eggs were not fertile at all and showed no growth during the entire incubation period. I kept in touch with the customer service team every major day of candling (day 7, day 14, and day 17) to let them know those 4 eggs showed no growth and were just yolkers (not fertile) They told me to keep them in the incubator and continue the hatch and let them know the results after hatch day. So I did. They took over a week to get back to me to let me know they would not replace the eggs they sent that were infertile cause 2 hatched out of the 7 received. I do not recommend buying from my pet chicken. As a customer who spent $160 and only received 2 fertile eggs and getting denied replacements for the infertile eggs is a huge disappointment. Do not trust their guarantee cause it’s not truthful. Do not waste your money here find a honest company to support instead.”
“The eggs shipped in 1 day. I received 7 eggs with no damage. I let them sit for 12 hours before placing into my incubator set to 99.5 F and kept at 50% humidity for the first 18 days. During the last 3 days I went on lockdown, kept humidity at 75%, and stopped auto rotation. Three eggs pipped and hatched but one had been pipping for 48 hours so I helped it and it hatched, now all the chicks are healthy particularly one that hatched early and started running around the incubator and helping the other eggs pip. They are the cutest silkies I have seen and have good personality but honestly I expected better results considering the price and fast shipping with no damage and nothing going wrong during incubation but I guess 50% is average on shipped eggs.”
“Arrived packed extremely well,,sitting in the incubator at this time. Company is polite, quick to respond and offer info for everything chicken/egg and in between. The welcome to the family was endearing.
Thankyou- Debby, awaiting my hatchlings!!!”
