After years of using heat lamps and having back-to-back failures, I decided to invest in this coop heater for my brooder/coop. It has been a big hit with all of the littles, and it feels so much safer than the heat lamps!

Was a great option with new chicks where some wanted more heat and could cuddle against it, while others could wander away and cool down. I hope it works just as well in the winter in the coop!

Works wonderfully as a brooder heater and being a much safer option than the traditional broader lamp it gives me much appreciated piece of mind. Love these heaters! I highly recommend upgrading to the two heater package for the discount its well worth it.

I NEVER liked using heat lamps, and was SO happy to find this alternative! I have hung them near the roosts, and have no more frost bitten combs on the roosters. I also hung one near the waterer, so no more frozen water! Winters here are relatively mild, but we do usually have several weeks in the mid 20s. Any time I know it is getting below freezing, I turn on the Cozy Coop Heaters!

Worked well in duckling brooder (mid June in Northeast US), though also needed to have an electric radiator next to the brooder at night for the first couple weeks. I put a towel over this and the ducklings would snuggle against it when cold. Was able to achieve temps in upper 80s-low 90s F with this method, though probably would not be warm enough for chicks.
