Cozy Coop Heater Reviews

Used it in the brooder and the chicks seemed ok, but it got so hot, 186 degrees to the touch, and made me super nervous. Upgraded to the Brinsea EcoGlow instead.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I initially used it in the chick box in our mud room for the first couple of weeks when the chicks first arrived. It provided a little wall of warmth without getting too hot. It has transitioned to the outside coop easily. I like that it has feet or wall mount option. I will be purchasing another one for use in the coop next winter, instead of using a heat lamp.

This radiant heater is wonderful! So much safer than the scary heat lamp I had been sold with my chicks. We hung it on the wall of their little house and they all snuggled up to it!

I transitioned from a hood type brooder to this when my chicks reached 4 weeks and they love it!

Love the idea of safety first! My chicks love it and I’m using it on a 3rd Bach of chicks.. when they’re young they stay close to heat source. As they get older they start moving away and spread out. Then I can lower the heat .

The coop heater was perfect for my needs. I was moving 6 week old chicks out of the basement and into a coop early this spring and wanted something to make sure they didn’t get too cold at night. I didn’t want to risk a fire so this seemed like a good solution. Easy to turn on and off and never got too warm to crate a concern.

We have the chickens on our sunporch. Temps are still getting pretty low and one of our chicks is still fuzzy. The heater works great! The thermostat is a great plus!
