Cozy Coop Heater Reviews

This is the second time I've purchased this heater. It's nice for the brooder or the coop. All the little ones love it. All the big ones love it. It's safe. I recommend it.

I have 6 chicks that I ordered from My Pet Chicken that needed to be warm. I was looking in to a heater plate finding this one and one they could get under. This kind was a bit cheaper than the ones they could get under, but it did not disappoint even though I wasn't sure how it would keep them warm! It did amazing! And I joke with people that my chicks are living the good life so much that they have a giant (to them) TV in their brooder! It was definitely a lot larger than I thought it would be, but it sets off amazing heat. I only wish there were better instructions as to when to turn it from 2 lines (most heat) to 1 line (less heat) as I am a new chicken mom. Works well! Has a light on the switch and the little power sticker in the corner that turns red when warm/on and black when cool/off. Super helpful! I definitely do not regret my order!

Safer way to keep you brood warm in the bitter cold weather without the fear of fire

Works fine but I found my 15 chickens (4-6 weeks old) preferred the red heat lights over the cozy coop. Even with the cozy coop sitting at ground level and set to high heat, you practically have to be touching it to feel it’s warmth. On cold nights I didn’t trust the cozy coop by itself, and since the chickens don’t use it much if they have the option of the red light, I end up not using my cozy coop much.

I bought this by mistake thinking it was a brooder heater, however, I'm quite pleased with it. I simply laid it across 4 tin coffee cans so that the warming side faces down. It kept my day old chicks at a perfect temperature.

I'll admit I was a little worried about using this to brood my first set of 4 chicks, but everything as gone off without a hitch! They feathered out well and early, and gradually spent less and less time next to it. No issues, and I'd happily use it again.
