I always used a heat lamp. Decided to try this. The chick's seem to love it.

This heater is everything I wanted it to be. It’s sturdy, safe and outs out ample heat without harm to the chickens. My baby chick snuggle up next to it and roost on it.

Three week old chicks are happy, active and growing like weeds. Have heater set on low and thats all that is needed. Great buy !

I bought this for the coop, but went ahead and used it in conjunction with the ecoglow in the brooder. Chicks love both, in the morning I find most under the ecoglow, while a few prefer the cozy coop to pass out in front of. during the day they prefer to go smash up against the cozy coop for a quick warm up and then go back to chick things. Excellent product with more variety of uses than the ecoglow, together makes the perfect set up. highly recommend.

We put this in a new chicken coop to heat it up before we moved our 6 week chicks in it. At first it wasn’t raising the temperature much. On closer inspection we found a lot of small openings the outside air was coming through. After applying caulk (and foam insulation to areas around the metal roof) the problem was resolved, and the heater raised the temp nicely. I keep a thermometer in the coop to make sure the temp stays around 70F and doesn’t get too hot.

We have an older model and had no problems. We we’re getting new chicks so we bought this one. It heats up quick but the low setting stopped working after a day or two but our little clicks needed the warmer setting anyway.

I live in MD where winters are unpredictable. It's important to me that my chickens are comfortable all year round. They love this heater and it eases my mind to know they are safe. Frostbite is not acceptable. This is a safe and effective heater for those cold days.
