“This is the best and safest heater around. I have a Sweeter heater, this one and a different type spread out in different areas of my coop/ enclosed run and the chickens tent to gather near the cozy coop the most on those chilly days. Seems to throw off just the right amount of heat. Cozy coop was also the least expensive. Already ordered a 2nd cozy coop to replace the one that was more expensive and not worth it. Thank you!!!”
“I was concerned at first that the chickens would be too warm in the coop and then too cold when outside, however this heater set on low keeps the temps above freezing (45-55 degrees) when the outside temps are below freezing. The coop size is for 4-5 chickens and I insulated the inside roof with a thin reflective bubble insulation to help keep the heat in. Another plus is the water in the coop doesn‚Äôt freeze. I‚Äôm very pleased with the Cozy Heater and I‚Äôve noticed the chickens are more active too.”
“It gets pretty cold in Colorado and I have always felt bad for my girls. This heater gets nice and warm and I get a bonus. They have started to lay eggs. They usually quit laying when it gets cold but now I get my daily eggs. They have to be pretty happy with there heater and unfrozen water supply to lay eggs when it gets to zero recently. I love this heater and bought another for another coop. Thanks MPC for selling these.”
“This heater is like a heating pad, it generates about the same amount of heat. You can feel the heat only if you place your hand very close to it.I am not sure if it is going to work for the large coop.I have a small coop for my bantams, around 3x3. I hung this heater on the back wall and it does its job.”
