“Some of the sweetest and calmest hens I've ever had. Very content to just sit in my lap and soak up attention. I feel like this would be a prime bird for beginners and veteran keepers alike. Whom ever designed this breed, I salute you.”
Thank you for that review of the Cream Legbar! You have English geneticists Punnett and Pease from Cambridge University to thank for the creating this wonderful auto sexing breed! We couldn't agree more that they are perfect for backyard chicken keepers of all skills since they are so friendly and easy to care for. If we can help support your chicken journey in the future, we are always here to help!
“Cinnamon is stunning! She's huge compared to everyone else in the group but doesn't use her bigger size to push others around and pick (looking at you exchequer leghorn...) and is a total doll. She is feathering beautifully and very hardy. She's not a huge fan of being handled but loves to be nearby like a cat would lol wants to be involved but no touchy. I would consider her calm (mostly... shes currently loving trying to fly) and friendly. I ordered some cream legbar roosters for delivery next year so I'll be excited to see how they vary from her.”
“Frafra, the cream legbar chick, is so petite and adorable. Absolute little love-bug. She is the tiniest of all the chicks but holds her own quite well. She has the sweetest little chirp and loves to cuddle with the other babies. Her chipmunk-like feathering is lovely, and at 3 weeks her little tail feathers coming in just add to her overall cute appearance. She has definitely stolen my heart!”
Thank you Celeste for your review! We agree, Cream Legbars are such pretty babies! They’re also known for their wonderful personalities—friendly, easy to handle, and great layers of beautiful blue to turquoise eggs.
With their charming crests and floppy combs, they always look like they’re wearing tiny berets—such a fun and unique breed!
