There are just enough gaps to allow for cords ti run for furnace to keep my girls warm on cold nights.
Only improvement was screwing in rubber stoppers to ends of roosting poles so they fit securely.
We also went with a cinderblock stand as it is sturdy and allows the girls to get out of bad weather or away from too much sun”
