Baby Chicks: Gold Kissed Granite Olive Egger Female Reviews

4.7 Rating 32 Reviews
Our girl is an absolute firecracker! Head hen from day 1, she taught her siblings how to drink from their water container, and how to play with the chick toys. She would cry loudly though if her sisters went under the heating plate and left her out alone- but she would stop crying if I sat down with her. She loves snuggles and blackberries are her favorite thing in the world. She’s an absolute blast, thank you for sending a happy healthy chick!

Very pretty baby bird! She's dark with a red face and head, very unique compared to the other chicks. (Arrived healthy in less than 24 hours with 14 other chicks.) She's very curious and is in almost every picture Ive taken of the other babies, she wants to see what's going on so she's photobombing everyone it's like she's doing it on purpose!

Spunky, healthy and active. She's just a baby so growing quickly and doesn't have her adult color yet. I did note that she didn't arrive with the red tint to her head so I'm interested to see how much of a gold/copper tint she might have as an adult. I always loved the Golden Cuckoo Marans color so I'm interested to see how similar this fun new bird will be as an adult, and the fact that it lays Green is a super fun twist for my kids.

We were very excited about getting this breed, especially since it was new! We love to have a variety of colors in our flock! She arrived perky and quickly began exploring the heat plate (under and on top!) and she enjoys the jungle gym. Only one week and she already has tail feathers and beautiful wing tips! We love the little spot on her head- it reminded of us a little crown, so we named her Athena! She is a strong girl!

Marea, we are incredibly sorry for the loss of your Gold Kissed Granite Olive Egger chick. It is completely heartbreaking to lose a chick. Your baby was cover under our guarantee and we have refunded you for her. Again, we apologize for your loss.

I love this wonderful little chicken! She is almost three weeks old, but I already know she is going to be such a special bird. Of 11 chicks, she is definitely one of the sweetest - often falling asleep in my hands when I hand feed the cuties. She is very curious, and very healthy! Feathering in beautifully. She was part of an order I split with some friends. I learned that if you have similar looking breeds on your order, there's normally a telling difference between this chick and ones such as Dominiques and Barred Rocks: these guys have more of a brownish/orange color where the black fuzz meets the white fuzz. It was actually quite easy to tell this chick apart from the Dominique on my order, My Pet Chicken was very helpful with identifying some chicks I had questions about. She doesn't have a name yet, but I can't wait for her to grow and see what a lovely personality she comes into
