Received on date promised. Received 7 as ordered. I died. Company made good. I love my 6 lavendar orpingtons. It's a lot of fun watching them grow. At two weeks old tomorrow. I think I can tell which on is the cockerel already. Thanks My Per Chicken.

I'm giving her 2 stars based on her looks alone. She is very pretty. BUT she is skittish and even pecks at me like a maniac if I pick her up. She runs away screaming when I come near. She is making all my other chickens scared too. I've owned an orpington before and she was the friendliest chicken ever. What is wrong with this lavender orp? I've handled her from day 1. She is just so terrified of me. I can not go near her. She is like a wild animal. I paid such a high price for her and I am so disappointed. I will probably end up giving her to my friend who has a large chicken farm. I just have a small backyard chicken flock and she is ruining it for me by making all the others crazy. She screams the sky is falling every time she sees me and the others are freaking out because of her. Also, she was like this from the day she arrived. I will order a buff orpington next and hope that one will be more true to breed in personality.

Tolerate children, dogs, anything. one of our two lavenders is so sweet she follows us around the garden trying to have conversations. Highly recommend.

Last April, I had my first batch of chicks delivered. Two of which are Lav Orphs and I love them! My "Silvia" is one of the friendliest (out of 13 birds) and comes when I call her! I have other Orpington's (2 buff and two black-Austrolorphs) and I hands down love this breed! So much so that when I ordered my second batch (coming next month) I am getting more buffs and lavenders and adding a Blue and Jubilee Orpingtons. I can't wait! Also, I love MPC-all my chicks from last year arrived healthy and cheeping. And, they are all still going strong one year later!

Along with 9 other chicks I got the Lavender color and she’s so beautiful! All arrived cheerfully chirping! No losses! Every baby Alive! It’s so hard to say who is who yet! But I love all the colors in the box! Like a Box of chocolates! I’m tickled pink!! I’m definitely purchasing another box of baby chicks again soon! Meanwhile I can’t wait to see this group grow up in a couple of weeks! Wish I can take a photo

My sweet new baby whom I named Lucy is adorable! She is the most pretty purple-gray color as her feathers have started coming in and very healthy and friendly. She’s very good with the 5 other chicks I ordered and loves to cuddle with them, especially the Blue-Splashed Marans I named Ethel. Very pleased with the quality of this chick.

I got six chickens from the June 17th hatch day so my ladies aren't quite laying yet but I'm sure they will soon! My Lavender Orpington is named Hippolyta and although she is not the top of the pecking order, she is more brave than the other ladies. When I leave the door to their enclosure open, she will follow me out into the yard and look for bugs while the other girls peck around right by the gate and don't come out much farther than that. She is friendly and likes to keep an eye on everything I'm doing outside. I also love her purple colored feathers. She has that classic chicken body style, too.

In my flock of 10, my lavender orpington Margaret is by far the biggest and calmest chicken I have! Although she is a orpington, it barley shows when looking at her. She stands about 2 inches taller than my two buffies, and she has very curly feathers almost like she has the frizzle gene in her! Despite her size, Margaret is super calm around everyone and never bullies the other chickens. She also is really good around kids. I would highly recommend adding a lavender orpington to any flock!
