“Blueberry is a bit smaller than all of our other chickens but she rules over the flock with her large and fluffy beard. She can be a bit bossy with the others but never a bully. She's curious, friendly, intelligent, cuddly on occasion, and definitely a treat hog. She's kind and gentle with my young kids and started laying beautiful blue eggs at 27 weeks old.”

“I ordered a few of these chicks and they turned out to be beautiful!! Their color is amazing and they look just like the picture. Their beards are as fluffy as can be, they’re goofy, charismatic, and are very social and nice when it comes to humans. These are 100% pure breed Americana’s. My ladies are approaching 6 months and we’re expecting eggs soon.”

“I ordered 8 girls that are almost 8 weeks old now. I only ordered one lavender Ameraucana and she has by far been my favorite girl. She is friendly and curious. She loves to hop in my hand and be held. She is probably the smallest of my flock, and is taking the longest to grow her neck feathers in. When I give them treats, especially crickets, she likes to dive in and try to steal everyone's and run off with them. She is entertaining and just the cutest little thing.”
What a delight she must be in your mixed flock! Some chicks are a bit slower to grow into the 'big girl feathers' but they can be the sweetest and spunkiest in the group. High protein treats like the crickets or dried soldier flies are a wonderful feather fixer. Thank you for sharing your review!

Many of our Lavender Ameraucanas do meet expectations, but due to the nature of genetics, some variation is normal, and a few may turn out less impressive than others.
