Even though you may not have needed them for your chicks, they're still a fantastic product to have in your arsenal to help weak birds. It can be tightly sealed and stored in the freezer for up to 2–3 years. It’s very helpful to have on hand during times of stress!

Our BVS Vitamins & Electrolytes can go a long way! While they are certainly suitable for commercial or large-scale operations, they still provide great value to the backyard flock keeper. You’ll likely have some left over after initially giving them to your chicks, and any extra can be tightly sealed and stored in the freezer for up to 2–3 years. It’s always helpful to have on hand in case you have a weak bird, or your flock experiences stress from extreme heat, cold, or other environmental changes.

To clarify, as noted in the product description, the BVS Vitamin and Electrolytes are shipped along with your chicks and are placed in a small pocket inside the baby chick shipping box. Once they've arrived, the BVS Vitamins are ready to be added to the chicks' water following the instructions printed on the package.
Although you already had some vitamins at home, we hope you will get great use out of our BVS Vitamins in the future!
We have to agree that the BVS Vitamins & Electrolytes are great to have on hand to help the little ones recover after their journey. It is a bonus too when there is enough to keep in our flock keepers' medicine cabinet for those times when our birds could benefit with more vitamins and electrolytes such as heat waves or other times where our flocks may seem a bit stressed.
