“We've had our girl Dot for a little over two years now, having gotten her as a "super blue layer" and boy howdy is she, she lays vibrant blue eggs once daily-- even in winter. She follows us everywhere, and is more like a small toddler with wings than a chicken. She's our head hen and actually lived through a dog attack! She saved our whole flock by drawing the dog away and waiting for us in a tree, giving the rest of the girls time to hide under a car. Very smart bird. She's definitely got an attitude and will honk at you until she gets what she wants. She'll walk right up to the fridge/cabinet/sink and tap at what she wants lol. We love our girl, we love all of our chickens from MPC but Dot especially. I'll always have a special place in my heart for this little gremlin with how she'd fly over to my chair at 5am to nest on my head while I was trying to work (until I finally caved and put them into the big-girl run) and how she'll clean the whole house of crumbs and spiders if she finds a way inside. (she always does, somehow) If you love chickens that look like mashed potatoes with the attitude of a cat and the voice of a goose I say go for it, these ladies are worth their weight in gold, very entertaining birds.”
Dot sounds like such a wonderful member of the flock! From laying those gorgeous blue eggs like a champ to saving the flock during a dog attack like a little hero, we are beyond impressed. It’s clear she rules the roost and your hearts, and we can totally picture her tapping on the cabinets like a clever feathered toddler.

“My bountiful blue (aka Snow White) is one of our favorite girls in the flock. She is only about 2 months old now, but she is by a landslide our most friendly girl! Absolutely loves to be held & petted. All 4 of my kids can hold her & she falls asleep in their arms with in minutes. She gets along with all breeds & is just so perfect & beautiful. Plus she’s quiet as a mouse. I’ve never heard any noise from her. We can’t wait until she starts laying eggs. Thank you MPC!”
Oh my goodness! Snow White sounds like an absolute dream chicken -fairest, fairest of them all!! We’re so touched to hear how gentle and affectionate she is with your whole family.
