“I have loved this brooder. It solved so many problems I'd faced before - primarily keeping the bitties contained in a way that maintained air flow but prevented them from flying out or creating insane amounts of dust/fluff as they grew out their feathers. However, I have to say I've run into two issues that I hope can be addressed in future models. First, the floor is difficult to clean fully if stuck on poop or other debris. I have seen models on Amazon that had a removable flooring for cleaning - I wish this model had that option. Second, as we've had to take this brooder out to deep clean with a hose a few times between chick groups, we ran into an issue with mildewing. We live in a high humidity area and our pen seemed dry enough to return inside and set up again, but there must have been remaining moisture or the humidity was just too high because our pen is now mildew stained. We're still using it with no issues to our birds, but it is not as visually appealing anymore. Overall, it's the best brooder we've used on our farm so far, despite these design shortfalls.”

“I’ve been using this for 6 weeks for my 3 new chicks, and I’m so happy with it! I would only suggest two small changes: continue the green fabric onto the roll up door, and add a power cord port like tents often have for a heater plate. Otherwise, it contains the mess, they have tons of space and are able to see out and get used to being around us and our dog, but are safe! Would absolutely recommend!”
Thank you for your review of the pop up brooder! Speaking for myself and many other customers, the pop up brooder has been a BIG game changer for brooding chicks! (We will never go back to rubber tubs!) What many people do is use the zipper on the side door to slip the cord through along the bottom, using the top for picking up the chicks and cleaning. Maybe that will work for you?!
