“We purchased panels from the Slatwalls range. The site we were installing into, required that the panel had a fire rating on it. Regrettably, Nature Wall could only give us the fire rating on the slats. The thick felt backing only had the Chinese fire rating certificate available, which isn't acceptable under Buidling Regs in the UK. Shame as otherwise, it would seem to be a good product.”
Hi Adrian, thank you for your feedback. The acoustic felt backing we use within the SlatWall Panels is fire rated. The particular fire testing carried out was performed by SGS which are a globally recognised accreditation company with offices in the UK https://www.sgs.co.uk/. Their classification system undergoes the same level of regulatory process worldwide and is applied the same way whether that be in the UK, EU or China.
The European classification banding has been applied to this test with the material recorded as B-s1-do. I hope this information is helpful.
