“Bought to complement Percussion Predator hunting trousers to combat extreme wet and thorns whilst hedgelaying. Performed well on first outing . Main criticism would be the accessibility and strength of zip .”
“Really great jacket. Lots of room in the shoulder area allowing you to be active and not restricted. Well fitted everywhere with ample pockets so you can forget where you put the car keys and panic!
Love the neoprene (wetsuit) cuffs, it really prevents wind and rain getting in. Waterproof, wind proof and breathable with a hood and high neck for further protection from the elements.
Only upgrade I would suggest is side zips from base to waist for driving etc.”
“Recently received this jacket and was very impressed with everything from the material through the styling, zips and the way it was laid out and also the fit. Love it. Living in Scotland we haven't had much rain to test it out but I'm sure that will come.”
“So far so good with this new coat from New Forest. I went a size up on usual so extra layers can be worn in winter. Been out in some damp weather but not down pours and held up so far.
If anything I think it would benefit from some interior pockets.
I'm a dog walker for my job so will see how it handles 5 days a week out in all weather's.”
“The hood is oversized, so it fits over ear defenders, and the drawstrings help to get a good snug fit. The neoprene cuff work well and the long back keeps your bum dry. It has a generous cut so you can layer up when it gets cold. I’ve got a few field coats, but this is the one I wear when it’s raining heavily.”
“I have now had the opportunity to wear this jacket in very wild, wet and windy weather. Very happy with the quality. Excellent waterproof, windproof jacket and long enough to keep more of you dry. I found the breathability very good when walking up into the hills. Good room for layering up if needed, although for me, a shirt or light fleece is sufficient at this time of year. Ordering your normal size is just fine it has that little extra for more clothing underneath. The only suggestion I would offer is to have some sort of magnet or strap to keep the big pocket open when shooting. Annoying trying to get shells out of it with gloves on and it closing over all the time. That aside I would recommend this jacket. Selling for a good price at the moment and the quality is up there with the best, in my opinion.”
