Trouble & Trix Cat Water Fountain Reviews

So unfortunately this is my 3rd one in 5 years. I replace the filters every month, change the water every 3 to 4 days. Pull it apart and deep clean every thing every couple of months. As the build up gets into the pump. My cat now refuses to drink out of anything else , no other water fountain will do. Has to be this one or the filter on the tap in the kitchen. Cat drinks from the fountain about 4 to 5 times a day. Very quite and starts to bubble when more water is needed. Im gutted that you cannot buy the dental sticks to add to the fountain individually. Also keep in a shaded spot to lengthen the time / use of this fountain. As its plastic. To be honest around 70 -75 $ every sort of yr in a half kinda outways vet bills on dehydration or kidney issues so for me its worth while. Filters aren't to badly priced either and get in a set of 3. You get 1 Filter with the actual unit set up as well. So easy to put together.

My 9 month old kitten would barely drink any water throughout the day which can be really bad for them especially in summer when it's quite hot. She's drinking more consistently which is amazing. Research shows cat in general don't like drinking still water because they know it can grow lots of bacteria which is why cats prefer to drink from running taps . Because they don't drink enough water they can develop deadly diseases such as kidney disease. Plus cats vision isn't the same as a humans, they pick up on movement and sound which is also why this fountain is so good, it allows your cat to hear and see where the water is coming from. Also with the filter the 2L's of water is constantly clean meaning refilling it with clean water everyday isn't necessary. AND this fountain is really affordable, so many websites have cat fountains for over $100.

I placed mine on a towel just big enough for it as I have a polished wooden floor (for silent operation). It was a little noisy without it. Instructions that were hidden which had some good info, so read.

This is the second fountain I have purchased and my cat loves it. It is very good with only one exception, you cannot get part for it if it ceases to work. I will keep the first one I purchased for parts, but it would be nice to be able to get parts.
