“What a nifty product. Setting it up wasn't difficult (I had issues with putting the panels together but I was just impatient to use the product). Dig a hole, put the composter in, fill up around the outside of the composter with soil, and you're done.
I've been using it for 3 months. My dog poops a lot and I tend to clean up every 2-3 days, so I'm not using the product to its full potential (the less you put in at once the better) - but it's taking a very long time to fill up (just over half way), so I'd say that the enzymes are doing their job and composting the poop quite well. Though I predict by the end of the year I may need to move the composter to another spot (and only twice a year seems reasonable - though I'm sure people who use it correctly will need to do it less - or never!)
There's no odor, no mold, no mess, and it's much easier than conventional means of composting animal waste. The only thing I didn't use in the kit were the tongs, I think a scoop would've been more suited.”
“Love the concept. Easy to install - easy to do poo patrol - less flies BUT doesn’t break down quickly enough. Have two dogs and a full container- will now just have to bury the lot. Shame.”
“Easy to install - I had fun clipping it together. Digging the 40x40cm hole wasn't a problem with the sandy soil where I live. Nice generous size for the waste of one small dog and 2 bunnys. Just have to wait and see how fast it breaks down, wouldn't hesitate to get a second composter.”
