“Pros:
- Helped with getting dog used to walking on sidewalks (rescue dog) without veering off
- Soft under-arm padding
- might be best for smaller dogs
Cons:
- took some coaxing to get dog to get through all the loops and ribbons
- many easier-to-put-on harnesses out there, this is not one of them
- did not really do much in ways of pulling, but harnesses don't tend to stop pulling, that's what training is for
-initial pulling actually cut the fur on the dog's shoulder blades as the pull-stop action essentially wore the fur down so stopped using it entirely.
- the absence of a front clip (that would actually help with pulling) was surprising
- rubber fibres in the front section started coming out a little on the sides
- the toggle to keep the fit snug was not a very sturdy thing and would slip
- this would also be a struggle to use with a rain jacket or similar
tl;dr
if you're desperate for a harness, it's ok, but won't last long - train your dog instead :)”
“I bought this harness to use with lead training a 4 month old pup. This harness does not stop pulling but it does stop the pup from having pressure against his throat.
It is not the easiest to fit, but is okay once it is on.”
“Swapped to this harness as my bulldog figured out how to get her legs out of the halti harness. It definitely didn't solve our pulling issue BUT she is easier to manage in this harness and I like to soft straps. 100% than having her choking herself on a slip chain. And she has learnt to sit and let me put it on her.
I do like the harness, I feel more confident walking her but is not a total fix for us.”
