“Bought the 'pet door' as the 'cat door' looked very small. Installed in hollow wooden door - found it tricky to line up the screw holes, but got it in ok in the end. Looks great. Easy to program. Have only had in a couple of days. Cats were reluctant at first due to the clicking noise, and requires quite a firm push to get door open, but they seem to be getting it. Also, think about where you place the door in relation to bedrooms as I find the clicking and closing of the door wakes me sometimes, but maybe I'm just getting used to it as well. Was bought to keep out neighbourhood bully cat - and it is doing that very well :) No spraying inside anymore :) and my cats seem happier now that they have a safe place to retreat to.”
“This cat(pet) flap has stopped the nightly visits from the neighbour's cat. We can sleep easily knowing our cats are the only ones coming in.
Very simple programming and the large flap allows the big boy through with ease. We're using both the microchip detector and the collar tab, on separate cats, both work perfectly”
“I have now had one of these door for almost 3 years. Both the cat and I love it. I didn't have a cat door before hand, so it took the cat about 5 days to get use to it. He is a large and taller cat, so I am very pleased that I bought the Pet door rather than the Cat door. Have programmed the door so that the cat is 'trapped' indoors from 2200hrs until 0600hrs and he has got used to the restriction. Despite the door going out on to the prevailing wind side of the house, I have not had any problems with it letting water come in on those typical Wellington windy and wet days. Cat uses the door all the time, and yet I only need to replace the batteries about every 14 months.”
“Easy to install. We bought this for our miniature schnauzer and cat. Works for both, although we are still in the training stage. The clicking noise of the locks did put them both off a bit to start with.”
“I had to get the bigger size because the smaller one just wasn't feasible for a bigger cat. I should have put the batteries in first and got the right sensors sorted before installing. It took a little sorting out, but works beautifully now.”
