“I recently switched my 3 year old Border Collie (domestic, not working dog) from Acana Grasslands to Black Hawk as he had been having poo issues. Diarrhoea, constipation, and what I believe to be the most atrocious smelling anal gland liquid squirting out. He'd also been vomiting even though I watch him like a hawk when we're out and he is off lead. I tried adding more fibre to his diet as per advice for constipation/diarrhoea ... anyway long story short, he likes Black Hawk and poo results seem good so far. He's been on the Black Hawk food for about 3 weeks and his general demeanour is back to normal (bouncy, happy and raring to go straight after breakfast!). I drop a good slosh of water into the kibble in his dish which hopefully helps things move along for him too. Coat not as shiny as it was if I'm honest, but as long as his belly and digestion is fine I'm happy. He is a very active dog so we feed him 340g per day rather than the 250g that's suggested (I think) but will probably start to reduce this slightly even though he seems hungry, he could just be pulling at my heart strings! The stuff smells pretty good, I've no idea about taste, but my dog would eat cardboard given half a chance, so ...!”
“I switched from Black Hawk grain free 6 weeks ago and am really happy with the transition. Her coat is, admittedly, slightly less glossy (switched from grain free salmon, no surprises there) but otherwise everything's great. And her poops have improved massively - considerably smaller and firmer. She's on exactly the same amount of food, so there's a big saving there. Highly recommend.”
“Our puppy is 11 months old he was bought up on Black Hawk food, it certainly ticks all the boxes for me, wouldn't have anything else. I'm sure the adult food will be the same.”
