“Our British bulldog pup absolutely loves this food and appears to digest it well. Comparing it to other brands, the ingredients seem far superior and not jam packed with fillers. Although a little pricy, it comes in the large bag making it better value and with additional auto-shipment discount it works out well. Our girl seems to be growing well on this and goes nuts every meal time so it must be good?”
“To be honest Orijen and Acana are the kibble brands I'd touch! I'd be eating 2 mins noodles before my dogs were eating Purina etc
Brilliant food! My dogs are on a raw diet but just to be sure, I like to feed Acana to. (Will eventually get them on full raw, that should be everyone's end goal!)
Anyways do it, it's expensive but when you see the difference in the dog - you won't want to go back!
Because the food is 99% of what your dog needs without fillers, you feed a lot less so it's not as expensive as you might think :)”
“My 4mo Border Collie Casca was switched to Acana Heritage P&J Dog Food after being on Royal Canin since birth and she loved it! She's always been fluffy, but I feel like her coat is shinier and smoother on the Acana kibble.
Note that you should follow the feeding guidelines and make sure your pup eats the recommended amounts as overfeeding will result in loose stools. We switched from Royal Canin slowly over a week but were feeding her the same amount as the RC, but Acana Heritage is richer and your pup will need less of it. We used homemade pumpkin puree to harden her stools and that worked while we figured out that we were just feeding her too much.”
“I put my pup on Acana as he was not eating the other brand that i bought him, He would not eat when i placed his food down as a puppy should.
When i placed Acana in his bowl he came over and demolished his bowl of food, i had never see that with him before. He loves his meal time now and his coat is just beautiful.”
