“Really pleased that Addiction has added a vegetarian option to its range, produced in NZ. I previously fed my dog homemade vegetarian meals (using recipes designed to meet AAFCO standards), because imports were prohibitively expensive. But Addiction's Zen Vegetarian is so much easier and only a little more expensive than homemade and gives me greater confidence that my dog's nutritional needs are being met.”
“I’m vegan, and my dog Jango (6.5 yrs old) was vegetarian (fish based) for 2 yrs and has been vegan for 2 yrs. Though this product calls itself vegetarian, containing no animal ingredients, it’s vegan.
His vet was against Jango going vegan 2 yrs ago, but he now admits Jango is healthier now.
I also give him kumura, dried apple rings and nori (yes he loves seaweed). Plenty of vitamins, minerals and fiber!”
“My dog had a terrible smell to his skin which I have since discovered is a wheat allergy. This food contains no wheat which has stopped the bad smell. Great delivery service, however, he is not so keen on the taste. He is not a fussy dog by any means but he will leave some of his food behind unless I mix it in with something else that he likes.”
“I really like the idea of a complete vegetarian diet for dogs so I was keen to try this. My dog however can not be convinced, even when I chuck in a handful of cat biscuits to sweeten the deal.”
“I bought this for my wee dog can't tolerate protein (she has seizures) as I wanted an alternative to her prescription diet. The cookies ave very small (about the size of a lentil) which is ideal for a very small dog, and she loves. It is expensive, but if purchased when on special, not too bad.”
