“A Dudley Lab is a Labrador retriever that lacks pigmentation on the eyes, eye rims, muzzle, and nose. This is a genetic trait that is very rare and affects only the yellow Labrador retrievers. This trait can't be considered as an abnormality of the genes. She suffers from bad eczema between her toes when wet they will go really red and she will put her whole foot in her mouth but i have creams and powders from vets to help her with the pain it causes. She also suffers with it on her stomach and has like an albino pink to her which really stands out. So that is the main reason she is on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic.”
“My dog was 10/10 on the itchy scale according to the vet skin specialist and it was horrible to watch. She had gradually gone from being a lively 5 year old to a prematurely aged (in action not looks) very uncomfortable girl. She licked at her paws and scratched at her ears from the moment she woke up and it was heartbreaking. Two months on this food (with some drugs for a couple weeks to get the itching under control and address the resulting infections) and she is back to her happy lively old self. She's like a puppy again....almost annoying :). Seriously though, I don't like feeding her soya but this has been amazing to get her back on track - we have just started adding other foods back to figure out what the allergen is. Would definitely recommend for any dog with bad itching.”
