“A nicely rounded chai, with a nutty and slightly spicy taste. The chocolate flavor is very subtle and more noticeable in the aroma than in taste. Personally, I would have preferred a more pronounced chocolate taste.”
“This for me, isn’t spicy enough for be a chai, in fact I get very few spices at all. The chocolate and hazelnut are both undertones rather than front and center as well. I rated this a four though because it still tastes GOOD. Maybe the black tea is just a nice tea but with honey and milk prepared like I would normally prepare a chai, this is a good cuppa. If someone just gave this to me as a cup of black tea without mentioning the chai part, I would be perfectly satisfied.”
“I don't always like chocolate teas, but PD has had a few that made me reconsider that, so I tried this one during chai month. So glad I did! It reminds me a bit of a mexican hot chocolate with the cinnamon, but the hazelnut adds a deeper flavor than just chocolate & tea, which sometimes tastes sharp to me. I love this one with cream, but the layers of flavor stand up on their own without it as well. I was excited when it was offered again, so I could stock up!”
