“I’m pretty sure this one doesn’t sit well with me because I haven’t figured out how to make it so that I enjoy it! I think if I added a touch of sweetener, i would like it a lot more.
Don’t get me wrong, this tastes EXACTLY like red velvet. It’s uncanny. It tastes so much like red velvet cake.
That being sad, there is something slightly....chemical-y about this tea. I’m not too sure what it is. I’m going to try it with some sweetener or milk and see if that kind of masks the taste.”
“The first time I tried this blend, I wasn't a huge fan. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it just didn't work for me. The next time I tried it, I found it much more pleasant and left me wanting another cup.”
“I did not find this tea cake-like and rich the way that other reviewers seem to, but I suspect that may be at least partly because Pu'erh tea is not generally my favorite. I found that, for me, the cocoa nibs and Pu'erh earthiness/potential bitterness were not so much balanced by the sweetness of the beetroot and blackberry but instead clashed.”
“This smelt delicious but I couldn’t finish my first cup. It was over powering and that surprises me because I like straight up black tea and coffee black. I’ll have to try some milk and sugar.”
“I’m an iced tea junkie and this one didn’t quite work for me! It is completely spot on, however. It tastes just like red velvet cake and my friend I gave it to absolutely loves it! She makes it hot and says I’m crazy...it is wonderful.”
“Tea wizards created a beautiful blend that smells and tastes like red velvet cake batter. I was hesitant at first but so glad I ended up buying this, it's very good and a great dessert alternative or accompanyment. The chocolate is not super strong but the cake part is definitely there.”
