“Seems well-built. I am using it as an alternative to other cheaper immersion heaters for my own shower build. Best suited for water volume less than 3 gallons (took 2 hours to heat 5 gallons to "warm").”
“The hot rod water heater works great! I hastily purchased the wrong one (we have the pro unit), but it still worked. It takes a while to heat the water. I would recommend allowing it to heat while you drive to your destination or start heading as soon as you arrive. I highly recommend this heater!”
“The hot rod water heater works great, especially for camping. Glad I purchased this as I was warming water in a pot over a fire. This is much more convenient.”

Hi James,
Thank you for leaving the Hot Rod Water Heater a review. That is correct, as stated multiple places on our website, the Hot Rod is not compatible with the PRO as the diameter of the PRO's fill hole is too large to fit the rod. If you are interested, we have a heating rod for the PRO called the PRO Immersion Heater (https://rinsekit.com/collections/shop-heaters/products/rinsekit-pro-immersion-heater)
You are still within the 30-day return window for the heater, if you'd like to return it, please fill out this form and our customer service team will get back to you soon. (https://rinsekit.com/pages/return-request-form)
Best,
Team RinseKit
“I'm super enthusiastic about this product. The instructions are very clear to be careful to not cross-thread, however there are not suggestions on how to be careful and how to tell if you are cross-threading. I was certainly careful to not cross thread, but I think I failed. Need to resolve with customer support, but improving the cross-threading risk with the unit is something you should address going forward.”
