“I bought two beautiful loose diamonds to include in earrings with this setting. Buying the stones separately and combining in a Ritani earring setting is much cheaper than buying a preselected set, particularly if you know what attributes of the stone you want to trade off for best value. In an earring I find that you can relax the color and clarity by one or two grades below the equivalent for a ring (no one stands that close!) and trade up for a larger, better cut stone. My wife hadn’t taken her new 2 x 1.23 carat earrings off since Mother’s Day!”
