Very pleased with the radio. Several people in our riding group have one and the communication on the trail is always clear and trouble free.

The handheld has good range and is easy to use. The radio itself is durable and sound is clear. Like the company. They help us to get an older model radio (not rugged) connected to our newer rugged radios that our group had purchased. They did this while we were on a side by side trip within in just a few minutes. Great company to work with. Quality of thier products is excellent.

I like the Rugged and Kenwood Handheld Radio ver much. It is a great size and works as it should. But operator manual and instruction are terrible. I have spent a couple of hours trying to turne in a channel that a group on riders use. I couldn't even find any help with YouTube. I will call Rugged and see if they can help.

I have a mobile unit in my truck along with the handheld GMR2 and I have always carried a Yaesu 60. The GMR2 compares very well in range to the Yaesu. It obviously doesn't have some of the capabilities of the Yaesu but it's a great radio within it's intended usage. I bought the GMR2 for convenience on the trail when out of the vehicle. Good battery life and USB recharging.

The replacement set you folks sent me is working great! I've interted with salesmen or service people three times over the past few years and the service is excellent. I will continue to do business with Rugged Radio indefinately.

I’ve been using the Rugged GMR2 PLUS for both climbing and off-roading, and honestly, it’s become one of those pieces of gear I don’t leave home without. Whether I’m hiking into a crag or heading out on a trail run with my Jeep, I clip it onto my pack and I’m good to go. The range is solid, even in canyon terrain or remote areas where cell service doesn’t exist. I love being able to radio my belayer instead of yelling down from the top of a wall. It’s way clearer and makes everything feel safer and more dialed in. On the trail, it’s perfect for spotting, coordinating with other rigs, or even just finding someone at camp. It’s simple to use, feels tough in the hand, and works every time I need it to.
