“I use mine almost daily, in my daily driven trail rig. I find it great for blocking out the sound of high winds, and my loud exhaust on the highway, but still enough to be aware of my surroundings. It also works great on the trails, and speaking to my passenger. My only issue is with the behind the head, it will get caught on my seat and prevent me from looking at my surroundings if i dont lean fowards, so i am considering trying out the Over the head, but otherwise it is a great headset,”

“Communication is good, some wind feedback. Stereo quality is poor. Ended up just using a small BT speaker I had thrown in the back seat as the new Mav R isn’t that loud. Was planning on doing 4, however I may go a different comm brand. 2025 Mav R MAX.”

Hi Nicklas, Thanks for the review, glad to hear comms are working well for you! As for the music, that’s not the usual feedback we get on our Ultimate Headsets. Most folks are surprised by how full the sound is, even in open setups like your MAV R. A couple quick tips: max phone volume can cause distortion, so try backing it off just a bit. Also, downloaded music usually sounds way better than streaming, plus it works better when you're off the grid. “Both styles are very comfortable. Very clear for conversations and great music quality. I wear the behind the head (w/ a ball cap) and the wife wears the over the head. Will be buying 2 more to have a set. Worth the $$.”
