“I got these so that my son and I didnt constantly have to hold up the radio to talk and so when in a noisy place we could easily hear each other a little closer to our ears. Without the mic we'd have to hold the radio up to know if one of us is talking.”

“Love it. Clear and loud enough for outdoor activities. I use mine on my rucksack I mount my radio high on my bag and put the mic up by my ear. It’s great with kid's on the trail. Just one button to push and talk”

“Worked really well. It allowed me to put the radio in my backpack and the hand speaker on the strap of my pack so that I could mountain bike and stay in contact with the support vehicle. I also like the fact that it works with my other Rugged radios.”

“Sounds reasonably good as a speaker. I get good audio reports on transmit audio. Cord is fairly stiff and not as cooperative and flexible as other speaker mics I have for other radios. Just based on appearance I would question whether or not it is actually water proof. I would protect it from weather if you plan on using it as a waterproof mic.”
