We got the Moto Kit to use when we ran the Scooter Cannonball Run this past summer (2021) and it turned out to be a game changer. The Rugged Radios gear is easy to install and set up. I was wearing a 3/4 helmet and the microphone and headset installed no problem. With that being said, I was expecting some wind noise when on the road- but the intercom system was crisp and clear. You pretty much turn on the radios and you're good to go (make sure you're on the same channel lol) The Rugged Radios have a push to talk button that easily mounts on the handlebar, so you don't have to mess with the radio or anything. You get used to the various cords, and they aren't really in the way at all. One single battery lasted a full day of riding: 10 hours and around 400-550 miles (remember, we were on scooters). Also, this whole system was much more reliable than bluetooth. Any issues we had were user error, and tech services at Rugged Radios were readily available to help us figure out what we were doing wrong. Additionally, we ran into rain storms, dust, and bumpy roads but the radios never had any problem with the elements. My wife wrecked her scooter on day 6 and the radio ended up in the road- it didn't even break. It was really a relief to be able to communicate with her, since I was ahead of her and had to turn around to find her. All in all, this gear is indispensable for motorcycle trips. We'll definitely be using the gear again for Scooter Cannonball Run 2023. Thanks RR!
