Hi Charlie, The NMO fitting is subject to breakage, if overtightened. There is a specific procedure in regards to securing the NMO Bulkhead with Mini UHF Female Connector. “Very easy to brake!! I ordered three radio packages and broke it on my first install. I ordered two more connectors in case it happened again. Customer service “ I don’t remember the agents name” reached out to me and reversed charged on one and we spoke about how to install the piece without braking it. Very professional and helpful.”

“The piece came apart on a new installation. Separated where the threaded piece joins the base. Not very impressed with the set up but I’m committed at this point.”

As discussed on the phone today, the NMO fitting is subject to breakage, if overtightened. There is a specific procedure in regards to securing the NMO Bulkhead with Mini UHF Female Connector. “Have to remove antenna when putting cover onto SxS to avoid tears. Only remove/re-installed 2 times and this piece broke tightening by hand. Glad this piece is replaceable but more "Rugged" design would be great!”

“Product has weak point at base of treads. I suggest they use a treaded washer to sandwich the two pieces together when mounting.”
