Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The lego element was highly motivating as we love lego in this class and to be able to "play" with it for our learning was exciting!

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? A great legacy of lego and a love of farm play, ability to categorise objects.

“Bricks Farm was exciting and highly motivating because it involved two of our favourite things - lego and farming! We got off to a rocky start with a new student disrupting our half built sets, which were quite challenging (but not impossible) for New Entrant Students to build. We involved the year 1-2 students to help us with this. Sorting things into categories did take some thinking on occassions and it bought about lots of discussion. A fun kit but next time I would do it with slightly older students as helpers.”

“Great kit, kids loved making the farm. The only challenge was when the trucks and vehicles were taken apart, we didnt know how to remake without instructions. The ideas were good and large jigsaw was popular”

“What a super kit - we used this as part of our Mentoring programme where yr 7/8 students worked alongside a Yr 1/2 buddy to build up parts of the farm. The children will get so much enjoyment from this Lego kit.”

Please provide 2+ examples of student voice on the kit's impact on them "I got to work with new friends." "I found it a bit tricky at first but my friends helped me."

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? The fact that it had lots of bits which we had to look after or else it wouldn't be a set and we wouldn't be able to complete the creation. Learnt lots about respect.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? It had children working together who don't usually work together. Made new friendships that will carry on through their learning years.

Which kit components were the most impactful and why? Farm machinery. The kids loved playing with the tractor and truck, nothing beats it.

What is the legacy this kit will leave behind on your learners? The farm kit is now included in our Lego toys and the kids love. The game itself comes out during rainy days and boardgame afternoons.

“I teach in a year 0-4 class at a rural school. The theme of the bricks was great for the kids, as they are familiar with farms and how they work. Having this resource in the classroom is fantastic, especially since it also works with our normal Lego bricks. There are two things I could think of improving. Having only one of each of the smaller items (trees, bushes, etc) is a bit limited. Unfortunately, none of my kids brought any in from home so we could not extend. The games are fun and the kids enjoyed most of them, however, the instructions are quite wordy and a teacher has to be involved, otherwise, younger ones could not play them. Overall a great resource though and it is being well used in the classroom. Thank you!”
