How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? This is a good kit, however tamariki needed quite a lot fed to them in order to work through the booklet. As the weeks went by they got better at identifying how they are feeling.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I have really appreciated being able to create time for tamariki throughout the day. we start the day off with charging mat and the tamariki know where to go to get the red checklist. They know that once that is completed I will check in with them.
This kit was the perfect kit to have after the Covid-19 lockdown. It gave tamariki a chance to have a platform to check in with themself and identify how they might be feeling at the start of the day. They enjoyed using the charging mat at the start of the day and accessing the envelopes for ideas on what to do if they were in the green or orange zone. I liked the red card with a very simple check sheet, giving me a chance to find time with tamariki to see how they were doing.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? They have been fantastic to use. The booklet especially, has given them a much greater insight into themselves, and the circles they move in, and has made them more aware of their actions and the impact of these on both themselves and others.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students have a greater appreciation of the student/teacher relationship, and why teachers ask some questions. They are able to verbalise their feelings more readily, and identify the impact they may be having on themselves and others.
This kit, like them all, has been outstanding and easy to use - thank you. The students are able to identify what self-confidence looks like, and have taken strength in identifying their circle of influence and working on making sure this circle is full of positive role models. Their self respect has developed, which has improved their self-confidence and in turn their peer relationships have strengthened. They are more aware of the need for self-care, which the current Pandemic has also helped identify. Working through their recharge plans took time for them to realise the importance of these, but they now see the strength in doing so and are much more mindful in their actions.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Yes! We have had some amazing discussions in class and I have seen a big in their confidence levels. We will continue to work on this throughout the year too.

Another amazing school kit! Unfortunately we did not get through the whole kit before lock down but it was easy to adapt!

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The kids can check in at any times, and it helps identify those who need extra support or time very well.
This is a great kit that my kids were enjoying exploring. However, with lockdown, we didn't get a chance to finish it. We have put it on hold for now and will continue it in term 3 when we have the time to do it justice. I can see the benefit it will have for my students in developing their sense of self and their confidence.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students were really good with reading cards and choosing their appropriate box for their current state of thought upon arrival at school. I think the activities in the journal were really engaging for our class.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The area of the class that was set up for the charging station allowed students to have privacy and a quiet space to read up for the morning and get a 'boost' for the day. The check-in system is a fantastic idea!
Great resource! Students loved both the tokens and the cards. Working from a journal helped them gather their thoughts and provided a lot of discussion between groups within the class. I hope this will be available again for more groups.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The charging station, the journal and the daily check in were all really important parts of increasing the communication between my class and I. I really loved the daily check in aspect as it gave me a really good insight into how my students were feeling
This was such a great kit for discussion around resilience and personal worth. The children loved the self-charging station and this led to a lot of discussion around the culture of our classroom and what is acceptable and what we expect.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I was able to help a student that was going through a tough time. I may not have known if she didn't fill in the red sheets.
My class really enjoyed using this kit and talking to each other about it. It made a bright spot in the classroom and they loved interacting with it. It opened the door to many interesting conversations and talking about feelings.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The self-confidence of the students in my class has improved dramatically since using this kit. The kids are now able to identify and show a range of prosocial behaviours, they can also now target their emotions and process them appropriately.

While using this kit and the charging station, students in my class have become more open and honest about their emotional needs, they have learnt that it's ok to have their 'bad' days and that the variety of emotions they feel are valid and cared for.

They have learnt to identify a variety of prosocial behaviours and many of them have started to display many more of these behaviours regularly, as they are actively thinking about them. The daily check in tokens are fabulous as this is a quick and easy way that the students can check in with themselves and with me - something I will continue to use regularly!
