How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students have become more confident in discussing their feelings and recognising their emotional needs.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in box has enabled students to have a private way of expressing their feelings every day.
We began the kit before lockdown but have not completed it yet. The parts of the kit we did do were great. My students enjoyed reflecting on themselves and their circle of influence. We had in depth discussions about noticing and naming feelings.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? They were able to articulate their feelings about self-confidence using the language introduced through this activity. I was nice to hear the discussion and watch the collaboration about the poems / mapping. A few kids had never used 3d glasses before.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I think they were all very useful to be honest. As it was my first time using the school kit some of the kids helped me. Checking in with the kids using the charging station and the tokens was a wonderful idea. I loved watching them read the cards thanks
I have already emailed this morning. I have been having trouble with my school laptop and have had to have the technician try fix it as I'm doing online learning with our Hub. The kit was amazing. In terms of self confidence some of the students were very receptive towards it (especially the Charging Station) and could say how they felt. I personally enjoyed the writing activities and they kids loved reading using their cool glasses. We talked about self confidence in our learning circles as well. It because part of our everyday language. I'm sorry I can't give any photos because I am at home doing online learning.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? My students have opened their minds to self reflection and self management. The students are open in their discussions and more likely to help and check in on other students. They actively seek out help.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students have the confidence to ask me for help and welcome daily check ins.
I used this kit as part of my new class setup/class culture building. It was a successful tool to use at this Students are aware that how they think about themselves can influence how they work and how they deal with issues. They are aware of their circle of influence.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? I have been able to use some of the questions in my daily reflection while remote learning.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I have just been using a google form where the kids can be open and honest with me. They know it is private and for my eyes only which helps them open up.
This kit was going to be set up and used in Term 2 in my class, so I have not yet used it with my students. However, it looks amazing and I have only seen great feedback about it. I have included some of the questions in my 'remote learning', especially around checking in with students regarding their well being and I have found these incredibly valuable. I am not sure when we will finally get back to school but I will be using this now at some point this year.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? It's given an avenue for students that didn't feel like they could ask for help. It's given them the opportunity to. Some took this opportunity and used it, others decided to leave it.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The red letter was helpful in creating a line of communication for those students that are too shy and not as comfortable with sharing their emotions with their teachers. The tokens in theory is a great idea but this didn't really take with the students.
In theory this is a fantastic resource that enables students to become more aware of their emotions. They can empower one another and support those around them. Students can also begin to gauge how they are feeling and a healthy way of communicating that. However the busyness of term 1, combined with being in a pod of 120 students made it difficult to really plant this resource and have it flourish with our students. Then you also add in the pandemic and we were out of luck. A brilliant aspect of this kit is that students were abl to fill in the red sheets and share them with their teachers. This helped create and foster good student-teacher communication lines.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The journal is a great way for kids to start self-reflecting on their emotions and how they react to things. The Shrink and Boost cards are wonderful for putting positive ideas in kids' heads.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I can see shrink/boost cards sparking positive conversations that would never happen normally. Journals could allow a route into private thinking that we wouldn't normally have access to. Love the potential that tokens hold as permission to call for help
This looks like its a really cool kit. We didn't start it during Term 1 as our focus was elsewhere. As we had planned to use it in term 2, it was tempting to start it while remote learning, but it would be such a waste of the gorgeous resources in it. Resilience is something that many of our kids today are sorely lacking - they are so protected by parents and often don't get chance to master skills through trial and error the way we oldies used to. I can't wait to get back into the classroom so that we can start working on those conversations and work together to increase resilience across the class.
