How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Students feel more confident checking in with how they are feeling and they realise its ok to be having a down moment or day.

“This was a useful kit that ran along side our Hauora inquiry topic very well. Students found the booklet engaging and enjoyed the check in aspect of the kit.”

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The kids feel more comfortable chatting to me now and are communicating more openly in lockdown etc (instead of parents emailing)

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? As above. Excellent resource. We were able to have excellent discussions around their image and self esteem. Well resourced and researched. The links were great - especially the drawing one.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in and charging station we will maintain and use - the red cards were especially useful for us to track our students wellbeing.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has made a reflect and talk very morning. The students are happy to model their feelings and reactions to situations and ";Monday mornings";

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kit worked well to engage with students on a personal level, and supported whanau involvement which has been really effective

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has become much easier to help students communicate how they are doing at an intermediate level- where this can usually be quite difficult and daunting. I can see my students appreciate the skills learned and the tools used.

“The tools were excellent in this kit, and it supported excellent conversations. I enjoyed using it with my class, but had to adapt it to fit the needs and backgrounds of my learners as some aspects were not applicable to all.”
