How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I have really enjoyed continuing this conversations during lockdown online learning. It has been so helpful using the battery to talk about how they are feeling.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The tamariki in my class have been learning about emotions and self regulation and self esteem. This kit really helped them with this. They were excited to come to school and want to fill out the little forms.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I already have a great bond with my students but this added to them wanting to communicate more about how they are feeling with myself.

“The idea and concept of the program looked amazing. However the execution of the program seemed to be more complicated than necessary. I would still like to try another kit at a time when it is not so hectic in the classroom and give it a go.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The check ins have allowed the students to become more aware when self regulating. Next step is to get them to self-regulate before they get to the red zone.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Worked in well with our children as our school counsellor was also offering support to children who needed it. We were able to coincide this with the children who were feeling in the 'red zone'.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The kit worked well to engage with students on a personal level, and supported whanau involvement which has been really effective

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has become much easier to help students communicate how they are doing at an intermediate level- where this can usually be quite difficult and daunting. I can see my students appreciate the skills learned and the tools used.

“The tools were excellent in this kit, and it supported excellent conversations. I enjoyed using it with my class, but had to adapt it to fit the needs and backgrounds of my learners as some aspects were not applicable to all.”
