“The idea and concept of the program looked amazing. However the execution of the program seemed to be more complicated than necessary. I would still like to try another kit at a time when it is not so hectic in the classroom and give it a go.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? As above. Excellent resource. We were able to have excellent discussions around their image and self esteem. Well resourced and researched. The links were great - especially the drawing one.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in and charging station we will maintain and use - the red cards were especially useful for us to track our students wellbeing.

The components and resources within the kit are great for building self esteem by helping them to learn that their self-worth depends on them and what's inside of them. They learnt strategies to manage when their confidence is down.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? I like the way the children are able to share their feelings and emotional needs in a discrete and safe way, through using the Charging Station.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The components were such that I could adapt the program to meet the needs of my students, and extend and challenge them in a well-planned manner.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? It has created more open and frank discussion, where the culture is such now that we all check-in with each other. The class manaakitanga has continued to grow from strength to strength.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The check ins have allowed the students to become more aware when self regulating. Next step is to get them to self-regulate before they get to the red zone.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Worked in well with our children as our school counsellor was also offering support to children who needed it. We were able to coincide this with the children who were feeling in the 'red zone'.
