How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students have had to identify the key people in their lives and how they impact them. There have been some really reflective conversations with some students identifying that they have not made friendship choices that are good for them.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? There are still some students that are struggling to communicate around these topics, however the kit and charging station has been useful in starting these conversations and opening up a platform for discussion.

“This was a really beautiful way to start some difficult discussions with students, around feelings and emotional well being. It was a great was to have conversations around self esteem and looking at who we let influence our thoughts and feelings.”

“The students enjoyed it, however, some of the tasks felt like they weren't the best follow-up activity. The conversations that came from the learning were really insightful and challenged the ideas of my learners. The age felt like it didn't fit the students and maybe was for younger students. Building self-confidence was a hit as the students didn't know how to build confidence. They assumed you had it or you didn't.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? We used it alongside a term long whole school inquiry into resilience so it offered a good check in as well as good strategies to support anxiety when it is building.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? By dropping their coin into the box I was able to check in where they were at each day and touch base with them privately if more support was needed.

“A great resource to have those conversations with students struggling with anxiety, especially during these lock down periods, where they may have been absent from school for some time. Helped to provide a Kete of resources and strategies to add to their internal tool box.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? It gave students the chance to reflect on themselves and understand their emotions more. This meant that they could start taking control of regulating their emotions and gained positive self-confidence from this.

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? This kit gave the opportunity to open up conversations about how unique we all are and the importance of that. It was great as there were components of conversation as well as reflection.
