How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The tokens were a great way at expressing emotion without saying emotion. I had a student who used the red card and after a discussion with him we were able to use some ideas from the orange cards to help move forward.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? When students used the tokens it was clear to see who needed the extra support without it being overwhelming for the students.
“This resource was such an eye catching and engaging project for the students to be involved in. We spoke about what each colour might look like in our classroom ie red could look like someone who may be angry or speaking unkindly to others, orange could be someone who is sad or quiet when they usually aren’t and green could look like a happy, smiling, and helpful person. This was a great tool to help us identify in ourselves and others what these feelings could look like and the cards were great at guiding our next steps.”

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? The display on the wall spiked a lot of curiosity in the class. All the kit was visually appealing.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? We started with empathy and it did start to work. Unfortunately our progress was lost over lockdown but I would love to pick it up again in 2022
“I really like the concept and think it is a great resource, unfortunately for us we started using it in term 3 and were quickly interrupted by lockdown and only finished 2 lessons.”

How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? They daily check-ins let me know how students felt without them feeling awkward about sharing out aloud.

The letter from a loved one component was wonderful in building kidsself-confidence, as some of my students don't often hear positive things from their caregivers. It was a nice prompt to use, and the students mentioned it later in the term, so it clearly
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The check in tokens were great for student-teacher communication. I left the tokens and box by the door, so once a day when they come in after lunch they would put their token in the box, and fill out one of the red-zone checklists if needed. This opened

My students were all highly engaged with the materials, and we were able to integrate it seamlessly with our existing Wellbeing programme. How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The kit allowed students to identify how they were feeling and what they could do to make themselves feel better. This kit helped create a bond between the students and myself as their teacher

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? It has helped them greatly as the kit is anonymous and they feel like they have clear next steps to help them regulate their emotions.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? Its made managing the classroom easier. I can talk to them when is convenient and do this discreetly.

How have the components within the kit helped develop your student self-confidence? Students were able to identify their body's physiological response to their emotions which in turn helped with their response to their emotions.
How have the components of the kit helped develop Student-Teacher communication? The journals were great. The charging station is interesting in a space with 60 students (we are going to try and use this again at the beginning of 2022). Some of the videos we chose not to use.
“This is a great resource to use with students. My favourite part was the sheets that students took home to have a family member fill out. These were lovely and brought tears to my eyes.”
