What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We didn't have much chance to use due to Lockdown. We found the story a little confusing and not having the artwork to go with it even more so. But we had some good oral language and if we had more time we would have used the stem activities which looked

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? Dance, drama and oral and written language allowed us to tell stories of our Whanau and made up stories of animals. The question cards were a huge hit with the children laughing and reasoning with each other (perfect for now and rebuilt relationships).

“The part of the kit I especially like is that it can be used again and again and taken on different adventures and journeys depending on the interests of the group of kids you have. Room 10 were totally absorbed in telling stories through dance and movement. We told stories of our Whanau and our own adventures through dance and ended up combining bits of each other’s dance to make one big collaborative Room 10 dance. Our plan is to create our own Taniko patterns and explore tessellations and translations. Having the boys of important teacher information was super helpful because it gave me the important parts to engage children and make clear curriculum links for them.”

What cross curricular learning came about as a result of this kit? We incorporated, Science, Social Science, Reading, Writing and Maths with this kit. So easy to incorporate with everything we were doing.
