How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? See review comment. Final words: We all LOVED the kit. See you in 2020!
Totally loved the kit. The kids loved discovering anagrams and synonyms to use. This learning will cross over into their general writing. They loved (I know I'm overusing the love word :) the fact that 'real' kids were doing the same thing for them, and finding out the similarities between their class and ours was exciting. I enjoyed (see I do know other words) having a different kit this year and I thought it was easier to work with. The tiny tin of objects was a great inspiration, although some of my students went 'off piste' and wrote about a couch and a meteor!

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Gave an authentic context for the writing and motivated the children to do their best!
Thank you Schoolkit and Warehouse Stationery for the wonderful kit that you provided to our classroom. The children were highly excited and motivated by the content of the box, and because of this (and the lesson plan guidance), some wonderful poetic writing was created. We also appreciated being able to connect to another classroom from a different regionnand you made this possible. We were so pleased to be involved!

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Students enjoyed sharing work with and from another school. They made made links to the information on the large class sheet and felt it was special to receive their own personal card to share. Students shared their experience and cards received at the sc
The resources and support materials were easy to use and access. The students enjoyed using the objects as a focus for their poetry and extended writing. The class sheet was a real hit and was a source of much discussion and compromise. Having a focus and audience for their work was a great motivator for students to produce their best work and try their hardest. They definitely want to go this again. Thank you very much for the organisation and resources.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Kids loved the idea of the writing going to another class. Was a bit disappointing that the buddy class didn’t add colour at all to the postcards when I have seen such colourful versions on Facebook.
The tin of objects and ideas for the colour poems were fantastic. Kids were motivated and able to experience success. The postcard activity was challenging for my class. I have done this before and found the metaphor a more achievable task but we got there in the end. Rather than labouring on I did use the word banks and fill in some of the postcards myself though when it seemed a challenge to far for some of the class. The class are still busy drawing and writing inspired by the items in the tin.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? They were super excited to have a buddy class to share their learning with and I think it amped up the quality of work they wanted to produce
Thanks school kit for another amazing opportunity. My class loved experimenting with sticky words and the research component. I have never seen a more proud bunch of students

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Great - it was so quick, we sent ours off and the next day our parcel arrived to share with the class. We loved seeing what they all wrote as some of the things were the same as what we had or were thinking of putting on it!
It made my class curious to what this meant and excited to see a box arrive and see what was inside - they all loved the mystery of it.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? My Class loved reading what our sister class had written. They were fascinated with their similarities and differences.
The kids loved the hands on practical way they could structure their ideas. Post its were a winner- although pricey! The video clips also captured them. We will use them again.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It was a real let down as the student's work was not at the level of my students. I rang the school to check the class level and was disappointed that the difference between the two classes was so marked. My children were extremely disappointed with the c
We loved the process and I saw such clever work being done by my top students. If students applied the process - their own one-word story was the key, in my opinion, then the outcomes were wonderfully interesting. I have written a long appraisal prior to receiving our buddy class work, l to the person I was in contact with by email through the unit.
