How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? My students are excited to receive our package. We googled our school and worked out how far and how long it would take to drive/fly and walk there. They loved it!!

“Once we got the hang of this there was no stopping us. The students loved the items in the tin and we now have a huge wall of ‘sticky’ words and adjectives!”

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Really really important - writing needs a purpose and this was a great reason to put in that extra effort. The swap is an essential part of the whole thing.

“What a fab kit - loved the wee tin (so did the kids!) the teachers Guide was really good - we did the lot! Online resource links excellent and new so I learnt something too! Top quality vocabulary learning was going on! Thank you!!”

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Everyone was so excited. It actually prompted lots of talking about posting and how and where it was going, map work to figure out where exactly. just lots of talking about other schools. Would be fantastic to connect more with other schools in the future

“It was an amazing kit. Could be used with a variety of levels and abilities. Lots of fun and great to be able to incorporate poetic writing into an overloaded programme. Absolutely loved the whole experience!!!! Thank you!!!”

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Great idea...again we found everything took so much longer than expected so we were rushed and didnt really reflect and enjoy that experience...it was like phew in the mail!

“I found the kit and ideas and lesson plan tricky to follow and a bit random...We liked the sticky words but the actual poem writing and the prompts particularly in the Class poem were very random. It was just tricky to manage the ideas and get it done appropriately. It took ages to do the class poem due to sharing, collaborating etc ...maybe it was my management?!”
