How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It gave my students an audience and upped the ante for some of them.
The writing was fun, enjoyed the freebies. However, at times, this kit seemed more difficult to decipher than in previous years, which made it a bit stressful to complete. But overall, it was still another great writing experience. Keep it up Schoolkit!

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? We have done this once before and the swapping went really great. This time not so great. We have a piece missing and the dye went through the card which made it hard to read the anagram. My class was really disappointed and don't want to hang it up.
My class loved the kit and really enjoyed doing all the activities. They spent a good amount of time on it and were really happy with what we sent down to our school.

Great for year 5/6. Liked the change in poem format this year. Would have liked some exchange of information about the class though as in past years my class have enjoyed finding out a bit about others who live in a different part of NZ.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Added motivation, interest and a geographical element of identifying where they live, and discussions around differences in our demographics- similarities and differences. Having a real audience and then receiving a different version of the work adds to t
Absolutely amazing kit, from fun lead in activities, new writing tools teachers and students got introduced to along the way to utilize while brainstorming and crafting and drafting, poster sharing a bit about us with our buddy school and finally the grand finale of poetry post cards created around a tin of inspiration. It really had my classroom excited, engaged and motivated in their learning. Students really developed a whole lot of new vocabulary and the skills to cut out the fat, the less rich words, to create poems from a rich bank of words.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? It was cool we looked up where ours was going which was cool
This kit was way too hard for my year 4 class. The instructions were super hard to follow and the kids didn’t understand how the big sheet formed a poem even when read all together. The box of treasures was awesome we used it for another purpose in the end and it worked really well.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Children were excited to receive the package today. There were some good learning discussions around it.
We loved the NZ Get Writing Kit. Students were very engaged in their learning and the activities that went with it were at the perfect level for my year 5/6's. We were a little disappointed with the effort from the other school though.

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Children loved reading what others had written using the same objects, a great experience
What an awesome resource. Children loved using the different objects in order to create a poem. I loved the 'sticky' words
