It’s so nice to get to read poems from another class and they always send us little extra gifts too. We also love learning about their school and area. An awesome fun and exciting project. “We loved taking part again. It was great to have new content. And the special writing box full of wonderful, exciting objects was very inspiring for the children. The style of poetry was very interesting. We loved the colour poem idea and used lots of the ideas on the school kit squad Facebook page.”

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? The effort the class put into their work and presentation was much higher knowing that another class would receive their poems. They can't wait to get our buddy class's parcel!

“I was really impressed with the teacher's guide - so easy to follow. My forte is definitely not writing, especially poetry, yet I could follow the guide and my students created fantastic poems. I would totally recommend any teacher giving this kit a go!”

How did the swapping of mail with another class add value to the GNZW experience? Direct purpose. Lots of links across the curriculum = maths numbers of words we used / changed, social sciences finding out where our class was as well as developing a huge interest in words
